ESNI batts are non-allergenic and low irritant making installation safe and easy. Poly insulation is also approved for use by the asthma foundation.
Wool
ESNI Wool products will reach equilibrium with the moisture content of the surrounding atmosphere (Dependant on temperature and relative humidity). If the insulation becomes wet, they should be dried before installation to achieve maximum performance.
Corrosiveness
When tested in accordance with NZS 4222. ESNI Wool insulation would not be classified as corrosive and has a ph level of 7.8 (ph of 7 is neutral)
Maximum Service Temperature
ESNI Wool has a melting point of 250ºC. How ever it is recommended that ESNI Wool insulation not be used in an environment of greater than 90ºC.
Packaging
ESNI batts are vacuum or compression packed for ease of transportation and storage. When opening pack, the batts will slowly increase their thickness. Allow the insulation batt one summer month to return to its manufactured thickness.
Moisture Absorption of ESNI Wool insulation is treated with Di Sodium Octaborate which is a natural mineral salt solution which is applied to the wool @ a rate of 4%. This process provides resistance to insect & vermin attack.
Fire Resistance
