Without insulation a cavity brick wall has an "R" value of 0.5. FOILBOARD in the cavity will achieve -
R 2.2 with SUPER 15 and R 1.8 with STANDARD 10 FOILBOARD is easy to install during construction of cavity brick walls. It is customary to run the inner skin of brickwork up at least 1200mm and then push FOILBOARD sheet onto protruding wall ties. Taping holes around ties secures the sheet in position. The joints between sheets are taped.
